Week Three of Winter Kids at Wayne Elementary!
Winter Kids week three is all about following your heart and letting your light shine! Students worked on their hockey accuracy and goalie skills, and learned how to put on Nordic skis independently so they can enjoy more time outdoors skiing around in the weeks to come. The Winter Kids gift of the week was a flashlight, the activity book featured a fun Morse code game, and we all discussed exciting games to play like flashlight tag and night owl.
Winter Kids Community Event Success!
What a wonderful turnout for our Winter Kids Community Event! Even with the cold temperatures, kids came out to embrace Maine's winter and enjoy ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and ice skating. A special thank you to Chad Wight and Angie Dagneau for running the Gear Shed, and to the entire Wayne School and Home for organizing such a fantastic event! It was heartwarming to see our community come together to celebrate winter and get kids outside enjoying all that this season has to offer.
