Eighth Grade Recognition

Abigail Allen: Abigail is a member of the Moose Team. Mrs. Satterfield says, “Abby is really a go-getter and has an independent mind. She's not been one to go along with her peers if she's not feeling it.  I think this quality in someone her age is impressive.  I will absolutely miss her conversations with a peer by my desk in the back of the room.  She knew I could hear every word she said, and it was often the most entertainment I got in a day!” Her parents note, “We would like to recognize Abby for all of her hard work maintaining excellent grades and dedication to her hockey team. Without our input she balances time for homework, practices and games.  It's hard to believe that junior high will be over in a couple of short months. We are very excited to see what the next four years has in store for Abby.” Mrs. Magnusson says, “Abby is a hard worker who is very focused on accomplishing whatever she puts her mind to. She engages with other students in discussions and has a very mature outlook. She certainly knows (at a young age) what she wants and she works hard to get it. She is a great role model of a well rounded person who has strong values.” Enjoy high school, Abby!

Reece Blais: Reece is a member of the Royal Team. Mrs. Roesner says, “Reece makes me smile every time we chat.  He's kind, and says hello everytime I see him.  Reece is fun loving and has an old-soul.” Mr. Sirois says, “Reece and I have had many conversations over his time at the middle school.  He is a kind, caring and funny young man who is as loyal a friend as you will ever find.  Stay focused on your goals and keep working hard to achieve them!  Can't wait to see you on the high school football field!” Mrs. Satterfield says, “Reece ended up in my outdoor activity many times and I loved talking to him about what he was up to outside of school.  From 6th grade to now, he has grown about 1000 inches in height, but he's also become thoughtful in that he greets me in the hallway and asks about my day.  I will miss this, but I know he's ready to continue having fun outside and for high school.”

Steven Blais: Steven is a member of the Acadia Team. Mr. Holman says, “Steven is respected by all for his intelligence and talents.  He is our school Rubix cube champ! Steven is a kind person who can get along with anyone.” Mrs. Corrigan says, “Steven has come into his own as the 8th grade year has progressed.  He is a student who is well respected not only by his peers but by his teachers as well.  Steven adds a great deal to our math class with his humor and rubix cube talents!” Steven is a computer guru.  He's really been resilient in the face of challenges.  Thank you for sharing your smile and "chillness.”
