Maranacook Community High School

Mr. Smith would like to recognize Nicole Clements.  Nicole is a compassionate student that utilizes her creative and conscientious learning style to be successful in her schoolwork as well as pursuits outside of Maranacook.  She displays dedication in her involvement with community work and uses her knowledge to help people. Nicole’s plans for the fall include continuing to work part-time and taking courses to become an Animal Assisted Therapist.  Nicole’s future goals include using therapy with horses to help children with disabilities.  She has volunteered over 200 hours at The Bend In The Road as a horse trainer and since has realized that she would like to put her strengths to work as she works to become a certified Animal Assisted Therapist!  Ultimately, Nicole wants to create a business similar to The Bend in the Road that would be closer to our Maranacook community.  In addition to volunteering an extensive amount of time caring for animals in a therapy environment, Nicole also has been studying video production.  She is mostly self-taught in the use of digital film tools for video editing and has been recently creating effects that she hopes to share on Youtube.
