In June a group of seven teachers from Maine will be traveling to Malawi to provide the teachers at the Mpamila Primary School a 10-day teacher workshop on integrating the arts in instruction. There are 300 children at the school and two years ago Maine teachers brought about 150 dresses and pants and Beanie babies with them to give to the children. When we return to Malawi in June we want to bring another 150 dresses and pants, so that all of the children will receive one of our sewn dresses or pants.
